MADRID Ryan Kent Jersey , April 1 (Xinhua) - Three fishermen are dead and two are missing after a collision between two ships close to the mouth of the estuary of the River de Vigo in the northwest of Spain on Tuesday.


The collision was between a small fishing boat, the Mar de Marin, and a transport vessel which was carrying vehicles built in the Citroen car factory in Vigo.


It took place at around 3am (0200GMT) in an area close to the Cies Islands as the Mar de Marin was sailing into Vigo in order to unload its catch.


The details of the accident were confirmed by the Mayoress of Marin, Maria Ramallo on Spanish National Radio
