Richard Mille's philosophy is simple: to master technology and materials to the best of their ability without compromise. This guy loves automotive engineering in general (and cars in particular), as you've no doubt seen too. Unique dial The skeletonized dial of the RM67-01 is a considerable improvement over the layout of the RM010 or RM011.
The movement is completely new, and since the movement is skeletonized, it directly affects the open dial. As such, this watch is the first to showcase a new design element that we will see more frequently in the future (like the new RM011-03): the decorative dial on top. It is related to the mechanically reinforced parts of the car (alternatingly clearing the volume to make the reinforced structure visible). This detail has endeared me from the moment I first held the watch in my hands, and it reminds me of the importance of always holding the watch in order to judge unbiasedly. I don't have a preference between then and now, but they all look good to me.
These dial colors match the rose gold case very well, of course because of the warmer reflections of the titanium elements. The workmanship of the movement is perfectly balanced with the rose gold case. The mainplate and bridges of the RM67-01 are treated with the plasma coating technology used in the original Richard Mille RM035 “Baby Nadal” case. It is a very durable ceramic-based coating.
The hands are similar to those used in the RM017 (thin square tourbillon model) and RM033 (thin round model). They have a little "arrow" shape which I must say I really like. It's a balanced combination that suits an already busy dial.
